
Michael D. Harris has nearly 25 years of broad management experience in the computing field including periods in R&D, development, production, business and academia. The past ten years have been spent in the financial services technology area.
Before purchasing The David Consulting Group (DCG), Mike was a key executive at Fidelity National Information Services (NYSE: FIS). At FIS, Mike led Channels Development and Operations Services within the Leveraged Products Development Group. In these roles he was responsible for rationalizing a disparate range of software assets into a coherent set of front-end solutions for global tier 1 banks, as well as building the teams that provided Group-wide centralized control and management services. These services included software configuration management, project management, tools and environments management, documentation, testing and quality assurance.
Prior to FIS, Mike was President of the Banking Solutions Division at Sanchez Computer Associates (NASDAQ: SCAI). At Sanchez he led the first introduction of application version management and achieved significant quality and delivery improvements culminating in the achievement of CMM® Level 3 in only 15 months.
He was a Senior Vice President and Head of the Global Chip Card Group at MasterCard International. In this role, he maintained MasterCard’s leadership position in chip technology was at the forefront of driving through industry standards as a founding director, of EMVCo. (the global standards body for chip card standards in the payments industry).
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering from the University of Southampton, England, and a Master of Science degree in computer-aided engineering from Coventry University, England. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (UK) and a Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (USA).
