SCOPE is the first product to bring software functional sizing into the domain of project governance and software portfolio asset management. It is a software tool for technical authorities, contract managers and other decision-makers involved in the acquisition of software or the development and delivery of significant software projects.
SCOPE helps you quickly and effectively manage your software supplier contracts. Pricing negotiations can be based objectively on the amount of functionality developed and supported. Supplier performance can be quantitatively compared and monitored.
SCOPE provides an early warning of project overruns. Its audit trail helps to quantify project changes and to monitor re-work and 'scope creep' - so useful during price variation negotiations. It allows the customer, whether internal or external to keep software costs under control. The objective size measurements produced can be input to all major estimating models, such as COCOMO II, SPR KnowledgePlan® and QSM SLIM.
